OUR YOUTH

We have youth groups for high school and middle school students. For activities and times, call Scott at 432-8711.

High School Youth Group meets every Wednesday from 7–9 P.M. in the parish hall. HS Youth Group is run by high school youth for high school youth. You do not need to be a member of this parish to attend. Come to learn more about yourself as you grow deeper in faith and discuss issues that concern the daily life of a teenager. You do not need to be a member of this parish to attend, so grab your brother, sister, neighbor, friend or whomever and head on over to the church on Wednesday night for a great time!

The High School Youth Group will not meet again until Wednesday, Jan 7, 2009. Have a blessed Christmas and Holy New Year!

Middle School Youth Group meets every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 6:30-8:00 PM and is open to all youth in grades 6–8. Friday Fire has something for everyone. You do not need to be a member of this parish to attend, so bring a friend along for a great night of fun and a chance to meet some wonderful new friends!

Altar Servers - Any boy or girl registered in the parish, in the fourth grade, and who has made their First Communion  is eligible to be an altar server. For further information, contact Chris Beliveau, Altar Server coordinator, at cjb@portmorristile.com.

St. Mark Cub Scouts - Learn more about Pack 605 by visiting their website:  Cub Scouts

Little Flowers Girls’ Group and Blue Knights Boys’ Group are for children ages 5–11. These groups teach Christian values exemplified by the lives of the saints through crafts, stories, and community service. Both groups meet the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from 3:30–5 P.M. in the parish hall. Parents are encouraged to participate in the groups, but this is not a requirement. For more information, or to register, please call Joan at 434-3281 or Beth at 880-6853.

The Little Flowers/Blue Knights are hosting a bake sale to benefit the Brian Ingalls family after all Masses on the weekend of Nov 17/18. Brian is fifteen years old and suffers from Huntington’s disease. All of the proceeds will go to his care. Please stop by and bring home a delicious treat for your family. If you would like to bake, please bring your goodies to the kitchen on Friday, Nov 16.

Little Friends of Jesus …
Classes and baby-sitting are provided for children (ages 2 through 5) throughout the school year. Parents are invited to drop off their children in the parish hall while they attend the 10:00
A.M. Mass. There is no fee for this service, and no prior registration is required.
